Rear Window
Rear window, a direction by Alfred Hitchcock was released in 1954. It was written by John Michael Hayes. Originally released by Paramount Pictures, the film stars James Stewart, Grace Kelly, Wendell Corey, Thelma Ritter and Raymond Burr. It was screened at 1954 Venice Film Festival.
There was a man(James Stewart), who had a broken leg, his pastime was to peek out of the window, with his binoculars in houses of the neighbours living in the apartment across the road. There lived a lady dancer named Miss Torso, who kept on dancing in his room, a lonely women named Miss Lonelyheart, a song writer, several married couples, a middle-aged sculptor, Raymond Burr, a wholesale jewellery salesman with a bedridden wife. Raymond Burr was one of the main character in this movie who lived with his wife. Apparently in this movie he had an argument with his wife and he plans to kill his wife. Grace Kelly was his girlfriend and therefore he discussed about the murder with her. The day he was attempting the murder, James Stewart was looking out his window when suddenly he noticed that Raymond Burr has murdered his wife. After the murder, Raymond Burr saw that James Stewart has seen him killing his wife. After this the chase for James Stewart was started. Raymond Burr tried a lot to kill him but at last, he was arrested by the police.
The suspense, thrill and enjoyment was great to watch and this helped the audience to stick with the movie and made them watch the movie till the end.
