                                      Effects of Lighting:

Lighting is one of the key factor in use of media, it helps to describe mood and atmosphere in the seen. Lighting can be used to create some sort of a weather, casting shadows or building some sort of a tension, however it helps to draw attention to a particular person's gesture.

                                                                Key Lighting:
Key lighting is used in order to focus on the characters and not its surroundings.

                                                                               

Back lighting:

Back lighting is used to focus more on the character and light is kept at the back of the character.

Suspense Makeup

                       Makeup used in Suspense Genre:

While doing my research on suspense genre, I was not able to come across something interesting therefore, I am writing what I have observed while watching various suspense movies. Suspense is a very vast genre and according to my observation suspense genre is not used alone. It is mostly a mixture of two genres i.e: suspense/horror, suspense/comedy, suspense/romance, suspense/thriller. Therefore, the makeup is used accordingly.
When ever you are watching a horror/suspense movie and a scene frightens you, all the credit goes to the makeup artist. For example the image that you are seeing below belongs from a horror movie. The man seems to frighten you just because of effective makeup. Lens too play an important role. The man is wearing white lens which gives a terrifying look.

Then other genres do not need such vast makeup as expressions influences more than makeup in other cases. Along with makeup the effects are given by lighting and wonderful expressions.

 

The following pictures clearly tells that with the help of excellent makeup, a good looking person can turn out to be evil as well.

Continuation:

The establishing shot will be of a small room door, mentioned open.
The delievery boy will be sitting and the scene will be shot from over his shoulder, looking at his laptop, using facebook stalking girls.
Phone will ring, he will pick it up, write the adress, tear the page and leave.
After disconnecting the phone, he will give an unusual smile.

The way it is to be shoted:

The camera will move towards the door gradually and zoom on OPEN.
As the camera will go in, it will rotate in the room and stop at the delievery boy.
Over the shoulder shot, he will be shown stalking girls on facebook. 
When suddenly the phone will ring, he will relax back on the chair and then attend the call.
He will clean the knife put it in his bag with pizza and leave.  

Research on the main task

Choosing suspense as my genre I had to collect all the information related to suspense movies so here I go:
The images that I collected related to camera angles, makeup, lighting is as follows:

This shows the expressions of the lady from a suspense film who seems to be worried/shocked (as the audience elaborates it). These expressions are necessary to be given in order to keep the suspense alive that what would have happened in the scene.

This scene is a typical scene of a suspense movie. This is created to keep suspense of the character that who might it be? This scene is given a cloudy effect so that as the character comes near the suspense reveles and not beforehand. This is also a part of lighting effects.

This scene is also shown in a suspense movie as a suspense scene while a lady is busy on the phone. This is necessary as a part of expressions so that the audience can correctly get what the character is thinking. This shot can also be part of a lighting effects. As only the character is visible but not the background.

This is a clear example of excllent facial expressions given by the lady, with wonderful lighting around. This shows that she has seen something over her head and now she is shocked to see it.

There is dull lighting in the background but there is a lot of lighting where the character is standing. This might be shown in the start of a scene that the character is looking towards the shelf and his back towards the audience and then he would turn to revele the suspense that who actually he was.

Story of the main task

The story revolves around a character who has developed hatred for girls. He works in a pizza company as a delivery boy. He uses the company site on Facebook to stalk girls, he completely gains knowledge about them and then he kills them. He is a psycho. The following day he was stalking girls when a girl called and placed him an order. He was very happy that he finally found someone to kill. He gets up takes the pizza, cleans his knife and LEAVES ! ! !
